The Enterprises TV Show Shares Ideas for Year-End Bonuses

Now that the economy is doing a bit better, some companies are giving employees a year-end bonus. The Enterprises TV show has some ideas about what to do with that extra check.

It might feel good to spend that extra bit of cash on more gifts or something special.  But why not make it work for you instead? Afterall, you worked hard all year.

Why not deposit it in an emergency savings account? There are times when the car breaks down, the kids have to go to the doctor or someone suffers a job loss. This is when that extra check comes in handy.

Add the money to a retirement account.  Later on, when your working life comes to an end, you will be glad you had the foresight to add that sum to savings.

Donate it to a favorite charitable organization. Not only is this generous gesture of giving back feel good, the amount can be written off at tax time.

Pay off credit card debt. The Enterprises TV show knows that credit card bills due in January will be larger than usual due to the holidays.  Why not pay them down with the boss’ year-end gift to you?
